Goodbye Sister

This will be another long post from me.

The clock strikes 12 times during this midnight. Tonight is the last night for her to be in Malaysia, the lovely country where she was born in. I see her double checking her three huge luggage bags very carefully to ensure everything that she needs is in her bag. She is smiling, cheerfully. Yet dad and mum are lying on their master bed, trying to fall into one peaceful slumber. I can see , they are toyed by the wave of emotion and eventually they woke up, sitting there, watching my sister who is busying with her belongings.

The sense of nostalgic emerges from my deepest heart...

She is 3 years old elder than me. She is my mum’s favourite child for her obedience and my mum needs not to worry about her. Being the eldest child in the family, she feels that she has the obligation to take care of her brothers and shows them a good example. My mum told me that. She is just a normal student when she was in Standard 2. While teacher distributed the test paper she saw people smiling for getting excellent result. This caused her started pondering , WHY CANT SHE be one of them? She told her aunty (my mum’s siblings) about her hope of being the top 5 students in the class but got teased in return. Never giving up hope, she started to strive hard and lastly she turned out to be the best student in class when she was in Standard 4.

“Jika kau ingat kau boleh, kau tentu boleh lakukan. ” This was part of the song she used to hum in her tender age.

She entered secondary school later and everything ahead of her was so new. This was her first time seeing so many Malays in the school. I wonder if she felt alienated as she was the only Chinese girl in her class. Surrounded by the Malay community, she still made friends from other races and religions. Due to her Chinese speaking background, she couldn’t speak English fluently and she described her presentation time as the time for her class to have fun. Her classmates would surely burst into laughter for her weird pronunciation of English. Poor sis would be left standing in front of the class, smiling sheepishly.

She told me , she pronounced the word DISGUST as ‘disgus’ (should be ‘disgast’) even when she was in Form 4. Yet in such a predicament, with sheer determination, she worked very hard on her broken-english and finally she was able to impress the teachers and friends.

Her wealthy friends needed not to be anxious about their future as they could study abroad once they finish their high school education. Too bad, my parents are not rich and cannot afford to send her there. She admired them , envied them so much until she was so determined to go for the scholarship. So she buried her head into the world of books.

After the hardship and toil, she was rewarded with a superb result in SPM. 10 A1, and 2 A2. Unexpectedly, she wept silently, thinking that her dream to pursue her study in oversea has gone, for good.

Still she appealed the JPA scholarship and went for the interview. After few months, the good news arrived.

“Pa , Ma! I got JPA” she banged the room of my parents’ door using all her might, despite the serenity and peacefulness during midnight. It was 3 am I could still remember. Never in my wildest dream expect such miracle would happen , as STUDY ABROAD is always a mission impossible to me . Miracle, perhaps it was something expected ?

Studying in INTI college located in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, she bravely took the TOEFL Test - Test of English as a Foreign Language then she took the result to apply for university in USA. Out of the blues again, she was accepted by University of Washington.

Toil and Hardship got paid off eventually.

The story of one 19 years old girl ended here. Comes a new challenge ahead of her...

Last day in Malaysia.

She smiled cheerfully as though she can’t wait to breathe the fresh air in Seattle. We are awakened at 4 o’ clock in the morning , heading to the KLIA airport.

Even Lucky also comes to 'bark' GOODBYE

It is a family photo. Including my daddy as photographer.

Arrive at KLIA after the time consuming ride. Meet up Prof. Lim there.
There are 15 JPA scholar altogether , pursuing their dreams to be successful people in the future.
It really impress me to study hard , follow their footsteps.

With my sister’s so- called godfather, Prof. Lim Hock Beng - the lecturer in college who comes all the way down from PJ.

A family photo.

My sister's Adventure Club FRIENDS. A bunch of friends who willing to wake up very early in the morning to send her . Envy that so much. Good friends are to be valued, aren't they?

Time flies rapidly. After all the briefing and malay praying, it's time for them to go.

People start crying, weeping , shedding tears and create a saddening atmosphere though going to study abroad is a thing that should be proud of. People are happy, yet feel so reluctant to go. Sounds contradictory? That's what we call the reality.

''Sudah sampai masa untuk masuk" the worker urges them to go in. Tears flow down my dad's cheek when my sister embraces him. Mum is a worse case.Only 3 strong and tough brothers there watching the touching scenario.

It doesn't occur to my mind. My sister does not cry! Not even a single drop of tear . Strong. Stay tough.

I am sentimental. I know, my tears gonna flow too. Tears welled my eyes. Somehow I manage to hold my tears, stop it from flowing out. Doing very hard to calm myself down, Iturn on the phone, listen to the song -Hot and Cold , humming the song but once I reminisce the past, the wonderful memories, I have to hold my tears again and turn my back to them, shed the tears.

Hug... Hug... Hug...

It's time for us to bid adieu. Gesture each other by waving hand, signifying - bye.

My dad waved continuously, non-stop until she vanishes in sight. When are we gonna meet again?

Bye , my dear sister. May God bless you in Seattle, a new enviroment that no longer customary to you. Stay tough!
P/S : By the way, your lovely room is now occupied by me! Wakaka.... Come and get it back after four years. Keep in touch! ><

Minor case has been exaggerated

I don't understand why adults take thing so serious. Only a small case but she views it as a very serious case and starts taking action on those innocent kids. Have to know that it's not good to play people's fate in her palm. Any decision she make will lead to result, whether it's good or bad.

Adults should also listen to teenagers' point of view. Don't be too bossy and turn a deaf ear to everybody just because of your status is an adult. Bless.

To You:

Yeah what you have to do is waiting for the result since it's not confirmed yet. If you really cannot make it, just take this as a life experience and wait for another chance in morning session but for now I have done what i should do by asking the seniors to help you. Helping you is not because of I know you but it is because I know what post you deserve to get according to your capability.

No matter what the result is, you do your best in the first place. Do not lose your spirit and passion. Support you ya. :)

The 10 brothers Reunion

Photobucket

The story hasn't ended yet. Holiday with friends Part II . Tata !!

It was raining out there and we were heading back to our home. Well it's just OUR home for a night. From Pavilion we ran ---> XXX ----> YYY ----> Sungei Wang ----> TimeSquare , let the rain soaked us. .____. Sry, don't know what's the name of the 2 buildings. I am not a shopping spree.

8 of us took taxi home and waited for quite a long time and so freaking boring until one taxi arrived and we 4 first just got up and showed the driver the ticket we had just bought from the ticket counter. We bought a Maluri ticket. Yet we told him we wanted to go PGRM , assuming that PGRM is in Maluri area. And the Chinese taxi guy so damn rude and impolite and I didn't know what the hell happened to him.

"Eh, Pgrm is not in maluri thank you ar.. " spoke sarcastically and returned the ticket back to us.
"Jaya Jusco then", I said.

"If wanna go PGRM add RM1 pls" he added. We ignored.

Then he started to mumble to himself and said he was honoured to do his job lar, working for the company lar, and all the crap behind which I didn't want to mention and refused to hear. See? This is taxi in Malaysia. Provide such a bad service. Couldn't he just be a little bit polite? This really gives foreign tourists a very bad impression towards Malaysia. You may wonder, how come I being so verbose? >< .

After purchasing food for the night --

-2 BIG packets of roller coaster potato chips
-a BIG packet of twistie BBQ flavor
-6 1.5L mineral water

Back to home. Kah Leong helped me to sewwp the floor since this place had been abandoned for quite some time already.

Hong Seng asked me why didn't I take his photo? unfair he might felt? Haha sick of his petty jealousy lolx XD

Everything was done. There came the night.

*Gamble Zone*

Gambling was fun especially when you won a lot of money and everyone envied you until they cursed you. You will be so proud , well only for that moment la, when you stood up and said "5 DRAGONS 21"-- literally translate from Chinese. And the banker will stare at you die die... We took turn to be the banker and when it's my turn.. OMG a whole stack of money turned to be a piece ... >< :( But there must be someone worse than me anyhow. Photobucket

Bankrupt. no money, take off your shirts la. no money again, take off your pants la.. At last only one bottomwear was allowed to go with him to protect his little birdie , from getting cold ? hoohoo / ^^

Liek and Jay See arrived later. And pity lolz.. they joined and thanks god they were described as the Money God-- CAI SHEN , distributing money. RM 20 , gone. It actually worth it. One person sad, 9 person happy. Worth right?

After 30 rounds of gambling, oh no should be 31 rounds, people took bath one by one but not all. The toilet door was so cacat and anybody can open it by using a 10 sen coin. To prevent people from entering while one takes bath, Nicholas and Hong Seng went into the bathroom together. Who knows what happened in that 20 minutes? No one. What they did? Comparing the size of __________ . Feel free to fil the blank. :X I said nothing.

Later on, Liek and me carried the mattress out since we wanted to sleep together in the freaking bloody small living room. Liek wanted to share his ghost story and he can only manage to utter these words :

Once upon a time

I wonder how many times he had repeated until we all nearly dozed off lo what the.. repititively repeating the sentence , hefinally continued :

There was an Ah Pak ...

@#$%^&&%^@#@

then we stopped him from sharing his very SCARY ghost stort. LOLZ ^^

Dunno which guy went and switched off the light and close the 2 doors of the rooms , oh yeah he's Mr Liek and trying to create a ghostly atmosphere. Cold and dark living room,we shared stories and I have to admit I was very scared as I felt insecure. Behind me was empty and the space is available for somebody or something dirty to appear there. Wow... Horrible enough yet we still continued . Nicholas' genting ghost story , my chinese traditional ghost stories... Freaking afraid and all of us were like omg The stories + the extra silence gave us one eerie feeling and goosebumps .

Shock!

Our chat lasted till 4:30 am and not only about ghost but also flashback , love romance story and of course ,the boys-must-share topic. Not good to share here. Hmm...

6:00am YChoong set his alarm and wow the noise ! I woke up first and then they continued their slumber but I couldn't sleep anymore. Fine I took photos.Nothing better else I could do.

Kah leong said taking photo while others sleep can tae his spirit away or the whatever-story, I now take their spirit away!

Note it.

No offense Qin Shun. ^6^

* All these were taken for memories purpose.

Photobucket

Okay devoted to studying time while waiting for them to wake up. Time is precious. What to do? What else can do if you're a form 4 student? Form 4 is not a honeymoon year . Those who disagree my statement will be cursed with bad luck and fail to get straight As in SPM .

Rain drizzled outside. Still we went to have our breakfast. We ordered one pot of Chinese tea. Good boys.

Photobucket

People with this tender age for sure will feed themselves with super sweet Coca Cola or those unhealhty carbonate can drinks but we are just so conscious about health. Perasan. Slowly sipping the tea in early morning was so relaxing, like the old folks do.

Photobucket

As usual after the tea, played Snooker. Divided to 5 teams. Nicholas and I in one team and we started competing with other teams. Fuyoh we were just too humble and lost in every single match. I emphasize the word , H-U-M-B-L-E. ^^

But I lost interest very fast then I went gym and something happened there. Well unwilling to share here. Swimming then, Sauna then go lunch then go back home . >____<

Sleep from 4:30 pm to next day 9:00am. And went to genting somemore. hmmm... best holiday ever.

Okay I have to mark an end here. I treasure the moment we spent together, the memorable + the enjoyable = thumb-up holiday. This hoilday couldn't have been more exciting without you frenz! Looking forward to next holiday .
